Q: Where can I find rebate forms?
A: Rebate forms can be found online the SHOP.COM product page
Q: Can all rebates be downloaded from the Rebate Center?
A: Rebates are made available for customers to print from the SHOP.COM product page or COMPUSA Rebate center or print a thermal rebate coupon in the store at our POS. Customers needing an additional copy, can find them on the site or request they be reprinted in store until the postmark (required to be mailed by) date.
Q: How do I know if a rebate is available online?
A: If the words "Mail-In Rebate" are blue bold on the CompUSA product site, clicking on it will take you to a printable version of the rebate.
Q: What if my local store is out of rebate forms and I can't download them from the Rebate Center?
A: Ask the store manager if he or she is expecting any more in, or you can visit the manufacturer's web site. If neither place has rebate forms, contact 1-800-CompUSA (266-7872).
Q: What are the different kinds of rebates?
Manufacturer Mail-In Rebates: Rebates offered by the manufacturer, redeemable via mail only
Manufacturer Upgrade Rebates: Rebates offered on Upgrade software; Most require previous proof of ownership of original software
CompUSA Mail-In Rebate: Rebates offered by CompUSA, redeemable via mail or online at erebates.compusa.com
Manufacturer Bundle Rebate: Rebates offered on certain products when purchased as a bundle (Two or more products purchased as a set - i.e. printer and system)
Q: How do I reach the manufacturer for questions about their rebates/ forms?
A: All rebate forms have an 800 number or a website address for the sponser of the rebate or the agent processing that rebate.
Q: How do I reach CompUSA for questions about rebates sponsered by CompUSA?
A: Call our Customer Service department at 1-800-CompUSA (266-7872) and follow the menu directions to reach a Rebate service rep. Remember that if the rebate was a manufacturer sponsered rebate, CompUSA will assist you in determining the 800 number or website necessary to reach the manufacturer's processing center (also listed on your rebate form).
Q: How long does it take to receive my rebate?
A: This varies by manufacturer. However, most rebate checks will arrive within 6 - 12 weeks of a properly completed request. All rebate forms should include a timeframe, usually within the Terms and conditions section.
Q: Whom do I contact if I have not received my rebate?
A: Use the manufacturer's 800 number or website listed on the rebate form.
Q: Do rebates have expiration dates?
A: Yes, most rebates do expire. The rebate form should have all information on it, including the date by which you must purchase your product and when the rebate should be postmarked or filed.
Q: What do I need to send with my rebate form?
A: The rebate form will have a list of what you need to include, but standard procedures are to include the receipt (proof of purchase), serial number or UPC code, and completed rebate request form.
Q: Do I have to submit my original receipt, or can it be a copy?
A: All manufacturers will accept a copy of the receipt, which may be printed from the POS, an invoice from business sales, or a web sales order. In either case, be sure to make copies of everything you send for your records.
Q: Can I submit a copy of the rebate form if I mess up on the original?
A: Most manufacturers will accept copies of the form. However, you need to read the Terms and conditions on the form for verification before sending in a copy. Or copies are available from the website for most rebates.
Q: Can I send in more than one rebate request for the same purchase?
A: No. Federal law prohibits this under US Mail Fraud Statutes (18 USC, Sections 1341 and 1342).
